Since the early 1980’s, NC Sturgeon has been a leading Design-Build firm with a diversified portfolio. From religious, aerospace, nuclear, medical, oil & gas, commercial, industrial, retail and educational facilities to everything in between, we approach each project with laser focus on design, value, and constructibility. Every team member takes pride in the challenge of finding a better solution to design, cost, and schedule and we’re not satisfied until the owner is satisfied with all aspects. When the design is complete, we will have value-engineered each and every scope of work, and we will have provided accurate cost estimates. We deliver a guaranteed maximum cost to the owner, upfront and guaranteed, without these risks to the owner.

After construction documents are complete, and a thorough preconstruction meeting informs the owner what to expect, we normally shorten construction time with early orders of long lead items and early delivery of in-house permit drawings. When the sitework is complete, we can man the project with self-performing concrete crews that have been QL/QC certified by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). After the concrete is poured, we maintain an expedited schedule and ensure the quality with our self-performing steel erectors and/or tilt-wall erectors, all also certified by the NRC. With in-house self-performing crews, we control the schedule, and we are not at the mercy of subcontractors.
